A family gallery that looks like it’s been growing over time that our client can keep adding to.
Our client, Taylor, knew that she would add to her gallery over time because her children were still little, but she also had lots of really important memories buried on her phone. We unearthed the most special moments from her photo stream, polished them with a bit of extra editing love and mixed them in with her professional photos. We helped her choose an eclectic mix of finishes and sizes to to make it feel like it had always been a part of their home. The organic shape and variety of finishes make it easy to pick new frames within the same palette and to add the latest shoot or memory to the wall. Her vision is that the gallery will keep wrapping up the staircase as her littles get older.
IN THEIR OWN WORDS
We have been meaning to get a family gallery up in our house, but life is busy with two little ones. We love a good DIY, but this was one of those “biggie” projects that kept getting put on the back burner. Going through years and years of digital photos is a huge undertaking! When we started this process with Kate, I had a few key moments from our travels and my kids’ lives that remembered being in my phone but I was also curious about what else the Lo + Behold team might find in there! Most of all, I wanted this wall to be place of joy. and something I would really enjoy seeing every day. I was very open to whatever framing scheme they came up with, but after some digging we realized that my aesthetic leaned towards a Paris artist flat vibe. Lo&Behold picked a great spread of vintage-inspired classic frames and then mixed them on the wall so that we can keep adding over time. We went through all of our photos and picked one from every stage of my kids lives to date. The prospect of keeping the wall up to date is not so daunting now and I am excited about keeping it going!
